Fees & Insurance Information

Fees: 
Our rates are based on the guidelines set by the Ontario Psychological Association. Please contact us for information regarding the fees for particular services.

Insurance Information:
Most extended health insurance plans will cover part or all of your cost to see a psychologist. The amount of coverage varies widely. Check your insurance plan for information about your level of coverage. If you are employed, your Human Resources Department can give you information about the level of coverage and about the details regarding how to get reimbursement. Most modern insurance plans do not require a physician referral. However you should check your plan information to see if a referral letter is required.

If you require psychological treatment because of a workplace accident then WSIB will probably pay for the cost of your treatment.

If you require psychological treatment because you were injured in a motor vehicle accident then the cost of your treatment can be covered by auto insurance.

You can claim the fees you pay to a psychologist as a medical expense deduction on your income tax return.

Payment:
We ask that you pay at the end of each appointment.  We will issue you with a receipt that you may use to claim an insurance reimbursement or as an income tax deduction.

Payment may be made by Debit Card, Visa, Master Card, American Express, cheque or cash.

If payment has been preauthorized by an insurance company or WSIB, then we will bill the third party directly and you are not required to pay at the end of each session.

Sessions:
Most appointments last 50 minutes and the remaining 10 minutes of the hour are used for record keeping. We can also provide 30 minute sessions or sessions longer that one hour if a shorter or longer session would be more appropriate for your needs.  Most session take place at the Clear Path Solutions office in downtown Toronto. We also provide telephone-base sessions and we will make “house calls” under some circumstances.

Cancelled or Missed Appointments:
We reserve the option of charging the full fee if you miss a scheduled session or cancel a session with less that 24 hours notice.
